About This Product
This ClarkDietrich Wall Framing Stud 2-1/2 in. x 8 ft. 25-Gauge EQ Galvanized Steel is a 25-gauge EQ galvanized steel drywall framing stud with a 2-1/2 in. web, a 1-1/4 in. flange and an 8 ft. length for standard 8 ft. ceiling walls. The narrow 2-1/2 in. width keeps partitions and furred walls tight where a deeper cavity is not required. It installs with matching 2-1/2 in. ProTRAK track: the stud drops into the floor and head track on layout, is plumbed, and is screwed or crimped to the track legs before drywall is hung. Steel framing will not warp, twist or shrink the way lumber does, so walls stay straight after the board goes on. It is intended for non-load-bearing interior work in remodels and light commercial interiors.
