About This Product
This ClarkDietrich Wall Framing Stud 3-1/2 in. x 8 ft. 20-Gauge EQ Galvanized Steel is a 20-gauge EQ galvanized steel drywall framing stud with a 3-1/2 in. web, a 1-1/2 in. flange and an 8 ft. length for standard 8 ft. ceiling heights. It belongs to the ProSTUD drywall framing system and runs with matching ProTRAK track at the floor and head of the wall. A diamond embossment rolled into the web stiffens the section so the flanges hold their shape and screws bite instead of spinning out while board is hung. The stud seats in the track at layout, is set plumb, then fastened to the track legs before drywall goes on. It is intended for non-load-bearing interior partitions and furred walls in remodel and light commercial construction.
