PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
About This Product
This is the single-device version of the Leviton Duplex Outlet Tamper-Resistant White 15 Amp Decora Edge, a 15 amp, 125 volt NEMA 5-15R tamper-resistant duplex outlet with lever terminals in place of binding screws. The nylon device measures 4.65 in. high, 1.625 in. wide and 1.875 in. deep, and it wires by stripping to the standard strip gauge, inserting the conductor and snapping the color-coded lever door shut until it clicks. There are no exposed metal parts, so electrical tape is not needed, and the wire openings keep insulation from entering the terminal. Lever connectors take 12 and 14 gauge solid or stranded copper, and the tamper-resistant shutters block access by most non-rated objects. It is a straightforward one-off replacement or add device for living spaces on 15 amp residential circuits.
