About This Product
The Leviton Duplex Outlet Weather and Tamper Resistant White 15 Amp is a 15 amp, 125 volt NEMA 5-15R duplex receptacle rated both weather-resistant and tamper-resistant, drawn from Leviton's commercial receptacle line. Weather-resistant construction is what the NEC calls for on outdoor receptacles, and the tamper-resistant shutters block the contacts unless a two-prong plug is inserted. The thermoplastic device rides on a heavy-gauge, rust-resistant steel mounting strap and has a shallow back that leaves maximum wiring room in the box. It measures 4.125 in. high, 1.375 in. wide and 1.875 in. deep and accepts back or side wiring through screw terminals. Install it on exterior walls, porches, decks and unconditioned spaces, using a weatherproof in-use cover in wet locations.
