About This Product
This Leviton Toggle Switch White 15 Amp CO/ALR AC Quiet is a 15 A single-pole grounding device rated for use with aluminum as well as copper branch-circuit conductors, which is what the CO/ALR marking certifies. The nylon body carries a matte white finish and measures 4.2 in. high by 0.9 in. wide by 1.3 in. deep, mounting in a standard single-gang box behind a toggle wall plate. It is side wired, and the large triple-combination screws accept Phillips, Robertson or slotted drivers so terminations go quickly and torque properly on aluminum conductors. The AC quiet mechanism switches lights from one location without the snap of an older toggle. It is the correct replacement device in older homes and buildings wired with aluminum branch circuits, where a standard switch is not rated for the conductor.
