PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
About This Product
Sealant for PTFE 4 oz. is a slow-drying, soft-setting, non-hardening compound for pipe threads. It features a high bulk density, indicating a higher concentration of solids in its formulation. This characteristic enables you to work the product into the grooves of the threads, enhancing its sealing ability to address any gaps that may arise due to varying tolerances in pipes and fittings. The compound with PTFE is ideal for both on-site applications and assembly line tasks. It is free of lead, non-toxic, and will not harden or separate while in the container. The product allows for immediate pressurization of the system after assembly without requiring any setting or curing time. The compound with PTFE is suitable for use on pipes that transport diluted acids, compressed air, aliphatic solvents, diluted alkalis, ammonia, brine, butane, carbon dioxide, castor oils, chlorinated water, coal tar naphtha, corrosive substances, cutting oils, diesel fuel, fatty acids, Freon, gasoline, glycol, heating oils, helium, hydraulic fluid, hydrogen, jet fuel, kerosene, lacquer, petroleum gases, mineral oils, natural gas, nitrogen gas, petroleum solvents, propane, refrigeration gases, soap, steam, sugars, vegetable oils, drinking water, and xylol.
