About This Product
The Fastening System 2-1/2 in. Collated Cortex Hidden for Fiberon ArmorGuard Decking screws and plugs in Forest Brown 50 LF provides the quickest and simplest method to conceal fasteners in composite, cap stock, and PVC decking boards. It ensures a robust connection between the deck board and the joist. It conceals fasteners throughout the entire deck, including the first and last boards, as well as the perimeter and stairs. Plugs are created using the same material as top-tier deck boards, allowing you to achieve a flawless, seamless appearance across your entire deck. Once installed, plugs integrate with your deck, expanding and contracting in tandem with the surrounding boards—this ensures that your plugs will not require replacement for the duration of the project. Equipped with a drive system and a high-strength setting tool, screws are straightforward to install and designed for professional contractors. Plugs arrive pre-aligned on collated strips, allowing for installation that is 50% quicker. To install, simply drive the fastener using the provided setting tool—this will countersink the screw to the ideal depth. Next, position your plugs over the fastener holes with the grains aligned, and tap to complete. Designed to secure 50 linear feet of decking, the kit includes 75, 2-1/2 inch carbon steel decking screws, 80 plugs on collated strips, and one setting tool. A recipient of the 2022 Innovation Award, this system is relied upon by professionals everywhere who prioritize craftsmanship and quality.
