About This Product
This Leviton SmartlockPro Outlet 15 Amp 125-Volt Self-Test Tamper Resistant GFCI White is a 15 Amp, 125-Volt tamper-resistant duplex receptacle in a white polycarbonate housing. It conducts an automatic internal test on a periodic cycle to verify it can still respond to a ground fault, and it tests itself within 3 seconds of initial power-up rather than waiting for someone to press the test button. If it detects a potential problem it shifts to more frequent testing, and the status indicator light reports power and protection status as well as line/load reversal. The reduced-depth body makes it easier to fit into shallow boxes, and the screw terminals are back and side wire capable with external back wire clamps that show proper wire seating. It is compatible with Decora devices and wall plates and is used wherever the NEC requires GFCI protection — kitchens, baths, laundry areas, garages, and outdoor circuits fed from indoor locations.
