About This Product
This Legrand Pass & Seymour TV Media Box Kit 1 Gang Recessed with Surge Suppressing Outlet and Low Voltage Inserts White. gives a wall-mounted flat-screen a power and signal connection that sits below the wall surface, so the TV can hang tight to the wall without a plug or connector holding it off. The kit combines a recessed nylon box with a surge-suppressing 15 A, 125-Volt duplex outlet and low-voltage inserts for routing HDMI, coax and other signal cables through the same opening. The wall plate measures 7.25 in. high by 4.875 in. wide by 2.25 in. deep and the outlet body is 4.2 in. high by 1.7 in. wide by 1.25 in. deep. The receptacle lands on screw terminals wired from the back, and the assembly cuts into the drywall cavity behind the TV during rough-in or as a retrofit. Surge suppression on the outlet protects the connected television and media gear from transient voltage spikes.
