About This Product
Custom Building Products VersaBond-LFT (model VBLFTMW50) is the White Fast-Setting Medium Bed Mortar for Large Format Tile and Stone - 50 lb — large format meaning any tile with one or more sides 15 in. or longer. It mixes with water and is combed out as a medium bed, giving the extra thickness needed to keep oversized panels flat where a standard thinset would not carry the tile. The white base keeps light-colored stone and glass from shadowing. It goes over concrete, cement backerboard, drywall, exterior grade plywood, existing ceramic tile, vinyl flooring and plastic laminates, indoors or outdoors, and can be used in wet areas including showers.
