These hex bolts feature hexagonal heads and are suitable for general applications that utilize a socket-type installation tool or a regular wrench. The standard bolt is designed to work with standard nuts and washers that have the same thread pitch, grade, and finish. Grade-8 bolts are stronger and should be paired with Grade-8 nuts. Alternatively, hex bolts can be used without nuts by inserting them directly into a compatible female threaded receptacle. They need either a pre-drilled hole or a pre-tapped hole with a matching female thread. Offered in a range of materials, grades, and finishes.
