The 15 Amp Single Pole Ground Fault Circuit Breaker with Self-Test features a tin-plated copper stab that ensures a dependable, lasting, and corrosion-resistant connection. It serves as an alternative to GFCI wall outlets, enabling users to easily identify the location to return to if a circuit trips. This eliminates the need to search for the correct wall outlet to reset. The Self-Test capability is mandated by UL for all GFCI devices starting in June 2015. This version of the GFCI verifies that its ground circuitry is operating correctly by conducting automatic diagnostic tests at regular intervals. If an issue is identified, the circuit breaker will trip and must be replaced.
