About This Product
The Leviton GFCI Outlet 15 Amp 125-Volt Duplex Tamper Resistant SmarTest Self-Test Black is a 15 amp, 125 volt SmarTest Self-Test SmartlockPro duplex GFCI receptacle in black, rated NEMA 5-15R with a tamper-resistant polycarbonate face. Its self-test circuitry runs periodic internal checks to confirm the device can still respond to a ground fault, testing within 3 seconds of initial power-up, and a patented reset lockout stops the device from being reset once protection is lost. A status indicator light reports power, protection status, and line/load reversal. The slim 1.02 in. deep body drops into shallow boxes, and back- and side-wire capable screw terminals with external back-wire clamps make wiring and inspection straightforward. Use it wherever the NEC requires 15 amp GFCI protection — kitchens, baths, garages, basements, and light commercial spaces.
