The Leviton GFCI Outlet 15 Amp 125-Volt Self-Test Tamper-Resistant with Audible Trip Alert White is a 15 amp, 125 volt SmartlockPro Self-Test tamper-resistant GFCI receptacle in white with an audible trip alert. It performs an automatic self-test every 15 minutes to confirm that protected power is still available, and if protection has been compromised it signals the user with two LED indicator lights plus an audible alarm rather than failing quietly. The NEMA 5-15R polycarbonate device has tamper-resistant shutters and side screw terminals, and its reduced 1.02 in. depth makes it easier to seat in a standard or shallow electrical box. It is specified for residential and commercial areas where shock risk is elevated — restrooms, basements, and kitchens — and where an audible warning is wanted on a device that may not be watched.
