About This Product
This Leviton Outlet Duplex Tamper Resistant Self Grounding 20 Amp Residential Grade White is rated 20 Amp, 125-Volt in a NEMA 5-20R configuration with a white high-impact thermoplastic base and face. A mechanical shutter mechanism prevents access to the contacts unless a two-pronged plug is inserted, locking out paper clips, keys, and other foreign objects; the TR symbol on the face confirms it meets the NEC section 406.11 requirement for tamper-resistant receptacles in dwelling units. The body is ultrasonically welded for additional assembly security and rides on a self-grounding strap. Conductors land at back or side screw terminals and mounting hardware is included. Use it on 20 Amp small-appliance, laundry, and general-purpose circuits in homes and apartments.
