About This Product
This Leviton Outlet Tamper-Resistant Duplex Light Almond 15 Amp (10-Pack) is a 15 amp, 125 volt tamper-resistant grounded duplex receptacle in light almond, supplied 10 to a pack for whole-house rough-in or device changeouts. A shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to the contacts unless a two-prong plug is inserted, keeping hairpins, keys, and similar objects out, which is what satisfies the 2008 NEC tamper-resistant requirement marked by the TR symbol on the face. Double-wipe power contacts give reliable conductivity and plug retention, and ultrasonic heavy-duty construction supports long service life in high-cycle locations. The shallow polycarbonate body leaves maximum wiring room in the box, and terminations can be made back or side on screw terminals. Devices measure 4.125 in. H x 1.375 in. W x 1.875 in. D and mount in standard in-wall boxes with the included hardware.
