About This Product
The Anvil Garden Spade D-Handle has a steel open-back blade on a 28 in. northern hardwood handle capped with a strong poly D-grip. The blade measures 10.75 in. long by 7.25 in. wide with a 9 in. socket where the head meets the handle, and its flat straight edge is made for slicing cleanly into soil rather than scooping. The short handle and D-grip give control in confined areas between vegetables and closely planted flowers, and the coated blade sheds soil and resists rust. At 3.53 lb. it handles easily for edging beds, cutting sod, dividing and transplanting perennials, and general bed work.
