Custom Building Products VersaBond-LFT RS (model VBLFTMRSG50) is the Gray Rapid Setting Mortar for Large Format Tile - 50 lb. Mixed with water and combed out with a notched trowel, the non-slumping formula holds bed thickness under heavy panels so the finished floor stays flat and lippage is eliminated. The rapid set is the reason to reach for it: you can grout and take light traffic in under 2 hours and heavy traffic in 24 hours under temperate conditions, and it keeps curing in cold weather when standard mortars stall. It bonds over concrete, cement backerboard, drywall, exterior grade plywood, existing ceramic tile, vinyl flooring and plastic laminates, indoors or out, and is approved for use with in-floor heating systems.
