About This Product
The Leviton Outlet 125-Volt Tamper Resistant Duplex SmarTest Self-Test GFCI 20 Amp Black is a 20 amp, 125 volt SmarTest Self-Test duplex GFCI receptacle in black, rated NEMA 5-20R and molded in polycarbonate with a tamper-resistant shutter face. It continuously monitors for ground faults and will trip on a real fault even while a self-test is running, with the first test occurring within 3 seconds of initial power-up. The device auto-adapts to more frequent testing if it detects a potential problem, and the status indicator light gives immediate feedback on power, protection status, and line/load reversal. Reduced 1.02 in. depth makes it practical in shallow or crowded boxes, and side screw terminals with back-wire capability speed up the wiring. It suits kitchen, bath, garage, basement, and light commercial circuits where a 20 amp GFCI is specified.
