About This Product
This Leviton Outlet 15 Amp Duplex CO/ALR White is rated 15 Amp, 125-Volt in a NEMA 5-15R, 2-pole, 3-wire grounding configuration with a white polycarbonate face. CO/ALR devices are required anywhere aluminum branch-circuit wiring has been installed: the terminal screws are alloyed and shaped to grip aluminum conductors tightly and hold that connection as the metal expands and contracts, which is what prevents the loose, overheating terminations that plain brass-screw receptacles develop on aluminum wire. The straight blade device is side wired and mounts on a steel strap. It measures 4.125 in. high by 1.375 in. wide by 1.875 in. deep and drops into any standard single-gang box. Use it for service and replacement work in homes and buildings wired with aluminum conductors, which are not included.
