About This Product
This Leviton Outlet Duplex Self-Test Tamper Resistant/Weather Resistant GFCI 15 Amp 125-Volt White is a 15 amp, 125 volt NEMA 5-15R duplex receptacle rated both tamper-resistant and weather-resistant, so it can serve damp and wet locations as well as interior rooms. The device periodically runs an automatic internal test to confirm it can still respond to a ground fault, and a patented reset lockout keeps it from being reset if that protection is lost. Its reduced 1.02 in. depth — in a body 3.81 in. high by 1.68 in. wide — lets it drop into shallow boxes that will not accept a conventional GFCI. Wire it with the screw terminals, set it in a standard device box, and read the status indicator light for power and protection state. Typical placements are bathrooms, kitchens, garages, basements and exterior receptacles on circuits the NEC requires to be GFCI protected.
