About This Product
These are 3M Sanding Screen 220-Grit 4-1/4 in. x 11-1/4 in. (2-Pack), cut to 4-1/4 in. x 11-1/4 in. to fit most drywall pole sanders and hand sanding heads. The abrasive is a sharp synthetic mineral bonded to an open-mesh cloth backing, so dust falls through the screen instead of packing into the face — that is what keeps a screen cutting far longer than paper on joint compound. Because the mesh is coated on both sides, you can flip the screen over and use the second face once the first dulls. At 220-grit this is a finish screen for the last pass over taped joints and skim coat before primer, and the waterproof construction means it can be washed out and reused.
