About This Product
This ClarkDietrich Track 2-1/2 in. x 10 ft. 25-Gauge EQ Galvanized Metal ProTRAK 25 is a 25-gauge EQ galvanized metal drywall framing track, 2-1/2 in. wide with 1-1/4 in. legs and a 10 ft. length. Track is the U-shaped runner that establishes the wall line: one length is fastened along the floor and another at the head, and the studs sit inside them. It is matched to 2-1/2 in. ProSTUD studs as part of the ProSTUD drywall framing system, so flanges stay in plane and the finished wall reads flat under drywall. Fasten the track to the slab or deck on the snapped line, drop the studs in, plumb them and screw or crimp through the legs. It is used for non-load-bearing interior partitions, closet walls, chases and furring.
