A surface-mounted enclosure without entry hubs that permits the connection of multiple conduits and the making of wire splices inside. An appropriate round hole for conduit entry must be cut. Male adapters or box adapters can be used to secure conduits to the box. It may be encased in concrete or buried but is not guaranteed or listed to be watertight under all conditions.
