Max push-to-connect fittings offer the quickest method to convert from existing polybutylene piping to PEX, copper, CPVC, or PE-RT piping. A newly engineered stainless steel collet retainer enhances strength and durability, providing a pressure rating of 400 PSI. Max fittings do not need a PEX tube liner, and a redesigned body enables easier insertion of the pipe with less effort. There is no need for soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or specialized tools. Once the pipe is inserted, stainless steel teeth securely grip the pipe while a specially formulated O-ring compresses around it to form a watertight seal. The fitting can be rotated post-installation for quick adjustments, and it can be removed just as easily with a disconnect tool, allowing for the replacement or reuse of fittings and valves.
