Standoff Post Base for 4x6 Nominal Lumber, Galvanized PBS

Simpson Strong-Tie post bases attach the lower part of wooden posts or columns to a concrete foundation. The post base is engineered to ensure a strong connection between a post (or column) and concrete in applications such as decks, patio covers, and other structures supported from above. These post bases are raised 1 inch to prevent the wood post from coming into contact with standing water, which helps to reduce the risk of rot at the bottom of the post.

• Embeds in wet concrete after pouring and is designed to sit flush with the concrete surface

• The embossing in the base's seat enhances strength

• Stress relief holes located beneath the base help prevent tearing during loading

• Offers a 1-inch standoff height, minimizing the risk of decay at the ends of posts and columns

• Base made of 12-gauge steel; strap made of 14-gauge steel
