Post Cap for 4x Nominal Lumber, Galvanized BC

This post cap provides a positive connection for a post to a wood deck and is stronger than angled nailing or screw fastening. It reduces the chance of post splitting and eliminates nailing into the end grain. It is not recommended for non-top-supported installations, such as fences or unbraced carports. The nominal post size is 4x. It is galvanized for extra corrosion resistance and should be installed with 16d common nails or 10 x 1-1/2 in. strong-drive SD screws.
