Securely seal copper tubes using the 1/2 in. copper cap. These caps are specifically designed for ASTM B88 and B75 copper tubing and come with a 1/2 in. press connection that allows for sealing without the need for soldering. The press connections facilitate a fast and efficient installation of this cap. Unlike conventional pipe fittings, there’s no requirement for calibration, flame, or heavy machinery. Instead, installing copper caps involves just four simple steps: cut the copper tube to the desired length, eliminate any burrs and surface flaws, measure and mark the depth for fitting insertion, and utilize a press tool to attach the cap for a secure fit. The smart connect technology helps to identify unpressed connections during pressure testing, ensuring proper connections on the first attempt and reducing the need for callbacks. This system meets more codes and standards than any other copper press fitting system (including IPC, UPC, and NSF), and offers over 400 different fitting configurations to accommodate nearly any plumbing or HVAC task.
