H1 Hurricane Tie, , 18-Gauge, Galvanized

Hurricane ties are crafted to withstand strong winds and seismic activity by securely connecting trusses or rafters to the top of a structure's wall. The H1 model is intended for use with nominal 2x lumber. This U-shaped hurricane tie allows for quicker installation compared to using two separate single-sided ties. The embossments enhance stiffness in key areas, leading to better performance.

• Secures the rafter or truss on both sides, providing high lateral load resistance

• Can be mounted on the inside or outside of the wall, or on both sides

• Install with (6) 0.131 in. x 1-1/2 in. nails to rafters/truss and (4) 0.131 x 2-1/2 in. nails to plates, OR (6) #9 x 1-1/2 in. screws to rafters/truss and (4) #9 x 1-1/2 in. screws to plates
