PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The retrofit post base is crafted to strengthen existing posts and columns. This single, adaptable model can fit any size post made of a double 2x4 or larger. It is also suitable for reinforcing new post-base connections, including braced carports, patio covers, decks, and other structures. It can be installed with a composite plastic standoff to comply with a 1" post standoff code requirement. A single unit can be mounted on a post that is flush to a corner, and two units can be used in non-edge conditions to enhance the post-base connection against wind and seismic forces.
