Type SWA (Standard Wall Aluminum) Flexible Metal Conduit is designed for use with power and lighting branch circuit conductors and cables, facilitating connections for receptacles, luminaires, equipment, office partitions, and more. Additionally, it can serve as a metal raceway for wires and cables, as well as for motor feeder, branch, and control circuit conductors and cables. It accommodates Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 remote-control, signaling, and power-limited circuit conductors and cables. Other uses include conductors and cables for fire alarm systems, whether power-limited or non-power-limited, along with voice, data, communication, and video cables, in addition to electric signs and outline lighting.
