The standard bolt works with standard nuts and washers that have the same thread pitch, grade, and finish. Grade-8 bolts are stronger and should be paired with Grade-8 nuts. Alternatively, hex bolts can be used without nuts by inserting them directly into a suitable female threaded receptacle. They must be installed in a pre-drilled or pre-tapped hole with compatible female threads. Offered in a range of materials, grades, and finishes.
